Optimize Your Brand and Guest Experience with SkiRing®

Utilizing SkiRing offers many opportunities to optimize your brand and guest experience. Below we will highlight a few ways you can use SkiRing to not only help your guests learn how to ski but also benefit your ski program overall.

#1 Present your Ski School/Program in a more professional manner.

SkiRing is a more professional and thoughtful way to present your ski program. In comparison to hula hoops, coffee lids, pieces of rope, “pretend” cafeteria trays, or bamboo poles, SkiRing® outshines and outlasts. Utilizing SkiRing in your program is a simple yet more intuitive tool that offers various benefits not only for the learner but also for the instructor and ski school utilizing it in their programs. For more specific information about SkiRing as a tool for new learners, here.

#2 Optimize your brand while you optimize your guest experience.

In the center of SkiRing, there is a radius of approximately 3” which can be used to promote your ski school or program’s brand where you could place a sticker of your resort or snowsports program logo. You could also create a sticker with your branding that also includes a space for your guest to write their name. Not only does this promote your brand, but it also personalizes the experience for your guest. Guests can share photos of their new ski journey on social media and you will have the benefit of free word-of-mouth advertising. We recommend Sticker Mule (https://www.stickermule.com/custom-stickers) as their stickers are vinyl as well as outdoor rated and have proven to stand up against the elements and use over multiple seasons. The 3” x 3” size sticker fits perfectly in the center of SkiRing, and you can also upload your own artwork.

#3 Cover the cost of utilizing SkiRing by selling the sticker space.

Another idea is to sell the sticker space to a local business, organization, or program. Is there a local business that might want to advertise equipment? Perhaps there is a restaurant, hotel, or other small business nearby that would benefit from advertising at your resort or ski school. If you figure out the quantity and cost of the stickers in addition to factoring in the cost of SkiRing, you can sell that space to cover your costs.

#4 Add SkiRing to your rental program and let it pay for itself.

There are a number of ways you can add SkiRing to your rental program to help offset the cost. We have seen ski resorts and programs quickly recoup their investment in SkiRing by charging for their rental like they do with their other equipment. We know of some programs that require a deposit for the “practice” prior to the lesson which also helps to prevent walk-offs. Another idea we know of is to sell SkiRing to your guests for $39.99, which can offset your expense completely.  When you make SkiRing a part of your welcome or learn to ski packages, you can provide new skiers with an attractive deal to help them get started. Should you choose to include a SkiRing for guests to use, keep, or eventually “trade back” for a patch, you can optimize your guest’s experience while you recoup your investment.

#5 Optimize guest experience throughout their journey of learning to ski.

Consider using SkiRing through ALL beginner levels. As beginners advance to the next more difficult green slope, they can be fearful once again. Repeating learned skills and using SkiRing can support the skier’s emotional well-being and set them up for a successful transition to the next slope. SkiRing is also very helpful when snow conditions change, easing into this unfamiliar environment can be very overwhelming to new skiers. Utilizing SkiRing can encourage students to spend more time and have more positive experiences on your slopes, making the next session that much more effective and fruitful for both the new skier and instructor.
